Please make sure your batteries are inserted properly, while also ensuring that the batteries are the correct size. Replace the cover so that the notch inserts and clicks into the slot.

The + and a – sign indicating which direction you should insert your batteries can be found in one of few places:

• On the backside of the battery cover (side facing the batteries)
• On the plastic part of the candle base (area where batteries enter or sit)
• On the piece that screws into tapers
